Special features to know

By booking a crossing on the Neoliner Origin, each passenger undertakes to show flexibility, adaptability and understanding of the constraints of maritime freight transport.

Passengers acknowledge and accept the specific conditions associated with this type of shipping:

  • Flexible dates: precise departure and arrival dates may be changed at short notice.
  • Sailing decisions: the captain may at any time
change the itinerary (ports of call, length of crossing) at any time, depending on logistical or weather constraints.
  • The captain’s authority: he remains the sole master on board and has absolute authority to enforce safety rules.
He can refuse boarding to a passenger deemed unfit for health reasons, or disembark any person endangering the ship, the crew or other passengers.
  • Availability: the passenger must be available and contactable in the departure city from 24 hours before departure to receive the latest instructions from Sailcoop, NEOLINE or the crew on board.

Admission requirements on board

The following conditions, taken from articles 13 and 14 of the General Conditions of Use (GCU) of the NEOLINE Carrier, apply to all passengers boarding the Neoliner Origin.

  • Minimum age: passengers must be at least 7 years old, measure more than 100 cm and weigh more than 20 kg to be allowed to board (article 13 of the NEOLINE GCU).
  • Maximum age: the age limit for boarding is 75 (article 13 of the NEOLINE GCU). However, this limit may exceptionally be lifted if the passenger presents a medical certificate attesting to their physical and mental health (see clause 8).
  • Pregnant women: pregnant women who are or will be in their 24ᵉ week of pregnancy before or during the journey are not allowed to board, for safety reasons and due to the absence of a doctor on board (clause 14 of the NEOLINE GCU).

These rules aim to guarantee the safety and well-being of all passengers during the crossing.
